The book is open and eyes on it too
But what are the words he doesn't have a clue

He dreams of the times of the recent past
All cartoons and sportsman were part of the cast

His parents enter and look at angrily as they walk
But they can't hear the things which his eyes talk

Why must I care if the rainfalls are less in Rajasthan
How should I know what's the time rite now in Durban

An 80 or a 90 how does it matter?
Why do these numbers decide if I'm worse or better

Why must I try to be better than a geek?
Can't you be happy I manage my studies with play in the week

Why can't you just love me and not my scores?
Can't you hear me crying for help behind your doors?

So what is it I must do to deserve that little pat?
Can't I get it when i win a game of ball and bat?

I don't want the success or the money
Just hug me and say the words I love you my honey!
