The Bag of Memories

He sits one last time looking at the room,
The silence is so loud it feels like a tomb

There is a flash back of memories galore,
He smiles but he starts his journey not knowing what's in store

The last time he wandered it was a beautiful path,
With so many roses, the thorns seemed just another part

The crossroads of life seperates him from his lot,
The choice he made was not from his own thought

The memories are removed and in a bag are hurled,
Kept in a place safe away from the eyes of the world

For a moment life seems worthless and he's all alone with eyes closed in his lair,
He prays there is no rain around as small drops fall below his hair

But there is a light far far away,
He knows he must go there to look at this path another day

The winds cover him and comfort his lonely walk,
Someone is waiting for him to have a lengthy talk

He opens his eyes the bag is still in his hold,
He hoped he had gone a few paces back before he felt this cold

Smiling he hides the bag deep inside,
He looks up at the road which will soon be covered in his stride

The bag will be opened soon in times when he is astray,
The bag of memories will guide him when he forgets his way

nice poem man... as always the poem tells in and out of what you felt, but the best factor is that it has reached one step ahead with respect to abstraction. this is something one would love in it for sure.
