CHEQUE DE INDIA!

Arise! Arise, riders of Dhoni!
Stumps shall be shaken, bats shall be splintered -
a sword-day, a blue day, ere the sun rises!
Ride now! Ride now! Ride! Ride for ruin, and the world's ending! Forth Johannesburg!

Even Peter Jackson could not have written the script for the game. What a match!!! All's well that ends well as they say, but seriously it was only a T-T world cup (in the words of Ravi Shastri) I know many will say this is the future and everything but this is only the beginning.
Anyway ever since i open the papers since that win the only thing i read is ..... indian team gets 2 million dollars bonus from BCCI (eyes widened!), 1 crore for yuvraj for hitting 6 sixes ( What the hell! ), 20 lacs for joginder sharma (jogi bhai ...... wat are you saying dude!), apart from these state governments showering money. And i thought the government did not have money to get the extra electricity in the state, water, upliftment of the public ........ etc ... etc ... Hell, in the rural areas farmers are commiting suicide. When people died of the earthquakes, floods, bomb blasts (well they too can be classified as calamities right?) wats the compensation 1 lac, 3 lac at max 5 lacs! Why should our hard earned money do to these cricketers who are already being paid enough ..................... speaking of rich getting richer!!!
On the other side we see our hockey team! Plundered 52 goals in the Asia cup .... went through group stages unbeaten and beat the top seeds in the tournament not once but twice that too 7-2 in the final (biggest margin in the asia cup final!) And all they get is a decent welcome. And when the karnataka government heard that they were protesting 5 lacs to 4 players to shut their mouth. I mean from where is this money coming from? Everyone keeps saying we need to pay taxes to make sure country progresses well I ain't impressed after seeing where my money is going!!!! They deserve their plaudits no question about it ............... but you need to look at the neglected parts and the rural parts as well! When are we going to stop depending on foreign investment etc for our growth .......... isn't it about time "OUR" money was spent on "US" Well I pray that no more world cups be won by the team if the government keeps throwing "OUR" hard earned moolah on them. For know well lets just say "CHEQUE DE INDIA!"

You gotta do what you've gotta do

........ or so they say. I find it really strange (and left out! :|) when people say you go to have a plan for the future and I am going to do so and so things in so and so span of time! I mean doing the work we are responsible for now is tough enough anyway. Of course you need to have a sense of direction in life, a vision that probably will take you down some way. I mean you need to take the opportunities present now ......... you never know when another one will come your way. For short sighted people (like me) who can't look past the next week its more about living life today and taking opportunities rather than looking at what could be! To able to do what you gotta do is more important than yearning for a work which is not now for you to do.
Like for instance you make friends in life and you lose them, but maybe what's more important is not how many "YOU" keep but how many keep "YOU". We don't realise it but life is cruel in so many ways. It introduces you to people you never thought would meet and then take them away .... just like that! But what it teaches you is to treasure each moment today cos tomorrow for whatever reason it maybe you might not have these times. So what do we do? Should we live today thinking about well tomorrow we aren't going to be together so what's the point? or do we live life like we never have so that we can cherish these moments for years to come?! Think about it, today's time gone may never come back. But memories do come back .... not once not twice but forever and ever!!!

How's Life?!

We all are whiners when it comes to thinking what really satisfies us. If ever you were asked the question "How's life?", you don't dare utter the cursed lines "Life's good", and if you do beware of the horror stricken faces staring at you with a sarcastic smile. You are comitting a crime by being happy .... oh! or better still by telling people that life's going just the way it should.
Like I met this female the other day ....... and she goes how's life, and I reply 'cool'. Prompt comes another question "How's work" and of course not knowing the consecuences I say "Couldn't be better!" I'm sure I haven't seen anyone so shocked that you were enjoying your work! I mean face it people, life could be much worse than it is right now ......... or better still you might not even have a life in a split second! Imagine the scene you are walking on a rainy day on the road and the tree giving you shelter quietly decides to share it's weight with you without making a sound ......... Well you would be thinking to yourself ( .... apart from the fact that you're dead!!) well there goes my life! And there I was sitting and mourning about it that very moment! Does it matter that your PM made you work on weekends, or that you teammates are the most nerdiest creatures you have ever met! Heck, it don't even matter how many people attend your funeral! You'll just be left asking could I have done better? And pop comes the answer ....... Of course you morone!!
But, we'll still live our lives by keeping in mind what HE said the other day or what SHE did and I did not like! Instead of going forward and actually talking it out we'll all be staring at God (whichever picture you believe is God) and saying why me! couldn't you make my life a little more beautiful?! Instead of actually being thankful to him and to the people around you! But be prepared for the question what did you do to make your life better ........ or worse what did you do to actually make something meaningful out of your precious life!
Life could much more beautiful than you think it is, only if you want it to be! Just look around the people around you and you'll realise maybe you're better off in more ways than one .......... which reminds me better solve that issue coming up in DEV, else life won't seem too nice tomorrow :)
